MK 2 rear light cluster

I have noticed water/ condensation at the base of the rear lens cluster (driver side). Just can;t see how this is happening as I cannot see any damage or crack on he lens itself. Thinking of removing the cluster for inspection. I saw a nut and then something like a white a plastic lug/ plug. How do I remove the lense? Removing the nut doesn't look sufficient and I do not want to unknowingly force the cluster out risking damage to it thanks
