Leather seats

Anyone know if I can replace my existing cloth seats with a whole new set of leather ones (including back seats) or would I need to scour eBay or rubbish like that for a set?

What would be a fair asking price for a whole set ??

Would I be looking at a specialist upholsterer, or is this quite a standard upgrade??

Thanks for any input

Matt

Hi Matt

This question has come up before.

Have you done a search of this forum for 'leather seats' ?

You'll find quite a few answers

I happened across this whilst hunting through the interweb. The pic should give you an idea of what the covers look like.   I haven't 'searched'  'leather seats' (yet) on here, but it's a good suggestion by dash. These are American covers but there's no reason why a car upholstery company can't do the same. I'm an ex-Custom Vanner and Rodder and I remember there's a company in Surrey (or that way) that will re-trim car seats. I'll do my best to try and find their address if you want me to. https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.iq-forums.com%2Fforums%2Fattachments%2Finterior-i-c-e-car-entertainment%2F2254d1361078802-scion-toyota-iq-oem-leather-seat-covers-image.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.iq-forums.com%2Fforums%2Finterior-i-c-e-car-entertainment%2F1789-scion-toyota-iq-oem-leather-seat-covers.html&docid=-DPgAcrGQPuTDM&tbnid=F_ZS9x7gNFtuuM%3A&w=1158&h=868&bih=945&biw=1794&ved=0ahUKEwifybLR3aDPAhWGOsAKHQWAAOYQMwiLAShjMGM&iact=mrc&uact=8

Back in 2012 i purchased a set of the original leather upgrade. It was Plum in colour which matches my interior. It cost £570 from Toyota and is sourced from Greece. I borrowed upholstery tools and fitted them myself. The glue over the existing seat covers. You have to glue otherwise the covers do not take the contour of the seat and they flap about at the point behind your back. Beware because whatever you decide, you have to take into consideration of the "squib" airbags on the side of the seats.
