2001 head unit fitment

Hi, I have recently bought my wife a 2001 corolla, unfortunately it doesn't have a cd player. I have a head unit from the old car is there anyway of fitting it into the corolla maybe we're the tape part of the stereo is if so would a need to buy new wiring harniss 

 

Sorry this has probably been ask a million times just carne seem to find anything on the net only American ones

There are plenty of options. Autoleads among others supply the wire harness adaptor cables and facias. Cable PC2-17-4 connects ISO to the car, so you can use any stereo. There are 4 facias listed for the Corolla, depending on what version - '99-02 FP-11-02, '02> FP-11-04 (single din) or DFP-11-04 (double din). Make sure you confirm the correct fitting!

Cheers for that :biggrin: don't think I'd need a face plate as I would put it were the tape deck part is,

 

Do you know if I'd losse the clock and stuff in the upper part

I am not familiar with your car, so not sure. Hopefully not, but you will find out when you replace the cassette unit. Cassette - so steam driven. :smile:
