Dear people,

I have a Avensis 2011 with a TNS 510 navigation system.

The navigation puts little dots on the map where I've been the last weeks... annoying. How to get rid of them?

Thanks!

Hi

you seemed to have activated /registered memory points

i dont have the 510 anymore but i have the 350 which is similar. I also have the user manual. It can store upto 106 memory points

press menu then settings then memory

you can then

registet memory points

edit memory points

delete memory points

you can also delete previous memory points

Thanks, David.

Are we talking about the same thing? When I look at the map, even with no route planned, is see on the map little dots on streets and places where I've been the last couple of weeks. Like Hansel leaving breadcrums behind to find the way back. I find this silly and annoying.

Fyi: these are not points I have set (in the past). These are trails on the map that are formed automatically by just driving around.

Thanks for your advise.

just me sulking mate

my works van has just been fitted with a tracker this week

suppose it had to come some time, got away ( got trusted) without one for 19 years

I found it in minutes and downloaded data sheet for it

a novatel wireless mt1200 that sends back driver behaviour reports via 3 axis accelerometer and speed reports for roads via my position/time etc

it will think I'm skidding about daft whilst driving in and out of rough building sites I suppose putting me on the naughty list

purepants

time to think about working for myself

or moving on to another company which is offering me 3.5k more basic which after tax will be more than enough for me to pay the taxman to be able to take a half mile detour on way home from work to pick up the youngest daughter from grannys as not to let the wife have to quit her job to work around school hours.

sorry I digress

I'm bitter

and drinking bitter the noo

Way out of topic, but I sympathize with your complaint.
