Radio losing FM station s

I've just bought a 2009 Yaris. The radio seemed ok until I saved the stations to the presets.  Now the selected station works for about 2 minutes then the sound fades to nothing and goes to static.  If you turn the radio off for a few minutes it will work again briefly when it goes back on again.  Is it something I've done ? It's driving me potty 😨

Check the aerial connection in the rear of the headunit, could simply be a loose wire.
