Touch Pro registration issue

I bought a new Prius last year and chose the Touch Pro Sat Nav system as it appeared to be the best Toyota offered. Earlier this year my Galaxy 6 phone started losing connectivity and whilst powering the phone off and then back on seems to solve the problem, it only does so for a week or two.

In June I experienced problems trying to register the Sat Nav system with My Toyota - I had hoped to purchase some of the apps and also download routes from the account. When I entered the code from the system it crashed my account requiring Toyota Centre to reset it. After a couple of months of discussions and further crashes Toyota Centre finally advised me that the Touch Pro system I had could not be registered and as the screen is a different size to the rest of the Touch range it cannot be replaced either.

This means that I cannot download apps or routes and cannot do online searches. I know I could probably download to a USB stick and use that but it is the automatic functionality I would far prefer to have.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?
