Does anyone know if these airbags are fitted to 2015 models? I think mine was built sometime in Q2 or Q3 2015.

The news article is interesting in that it says "will stop using them in future models", suggesting they are still using them now? I'm not going to be paranoid about it - the probability of having a defective unit appears to be very small.

Delphi, Autoliv, TRW, and Takata are the large airbag manufacturers globally. What the car manufacturers have said is they will cease using Takata airbags which contain ammonium nitrate, which suggests there are alternative chemicals to use in the inflators.
