Hi everyone, I've just joined this group tonight.  I live in New Zealand. Yesterday morning (at 4am) I drove my car down the driveway and into the lamppost at the bottom (i was rushing my sister to the airport). Is there a way to remove this dent ourselves/ my husband?  I also cracked the bumper and broke the tail light 😕 . So bad. Our insurance won't cover it. Please help.

As regards the rear bumper, this is in sections so you could get the left hand rear bumper corner from somewhere like eBay - either new or second hand. The rear light - not sure whether yours is an original Toyota part or a third party part, but again should be available on eBay (though if you cannot get a matching part, may have to buy a pair).

May be able to access the dent either when the bumper corner is removed or by removing some of the internal boot trim. Or prepare the surface of the dent and use filler.

Prepare and paint accordingly.

To add to frosty's excellent advice the dent in the metal could be lessened by drilling a small hole in the middle of it and screwing into it a self tapping screw with a fair sized head and carefully pulling on it
