Fuel range Indicator How to re-set

Hi I have a 2007 XTR Petrol Auto, and it seams the fuel range indicator has gone out of sync. It is now saying the there is only a range of 3 miles before i run out but looking at the Gauge there is almost half a tank in. is there anyway of re-callorbrating it again ? Thanks Alan
