Hi folks I'm finally giving up the best car I've ever owned (very sad to be doing so)

I've got bored with the reliability of the avensis.I'm being totally stupid and buying a 2009 1.8 insignia got it for just over £3000 with 79000 miles new clutch and dmf (yes a dmf in a petrol).the timing belt has just been done.new rear discs.pads look new the gearbox is being overhauled prior to pick up.recently serviced as well.looks and drives great.

I'm shocked at giving up the avensis. missus isn't speaking to me either (which is a bonus ).

So thanks to all for the posts and all the help. 😢😢😭😭👍

What have you done Frank? That Insignia really is exciting compared to Avensis, on the unreliability front!

Have you joined one of the Vauxhall forums? You may need help. It will be interesting to follow your experience with the Insignia.

Good luck.

I know I know lol...I still can't get my head round what I've done.yes I've joined a vauxhall forum..the car is nice and smooth driver.I've got the dealer doing a lot of work on it before I take it.so with luck it will be OK. I've still got the auris so still in the Toyota "family"

Thanks for all your help with the posts konrad

Sorry Frank, I could not resist. At least the car has given you a head start on broken bits and things to do. I have to admit, I did like the Insignia shape back in 2008. I actually prefer it to the Mondeo! Then the Mk3 Avensis came along.

Once again enjoy the Insignia. It is not a bad car really.
