Hi my name is Abe and my straight piped 97 RAV4 slips out of 5th gear when coasting what the hell is the problem with it

This is not specific to any particular gearbox, but the causes of gears slipping out of mesh are stated as :

Worn shift fork shafts

Worn shift fork or synchroniser sleeve

Worn bearings on input shaft or mainshaft

Worn chamfered tooth on sleeve or gear

Missing or disengagement of circlips

 

I guess that means overhaul or replace gearbox.
