Oxygen Sensor Rav4

Wife's just bought a 2004 Rav4 Auto, the engine management light came on within minutes of driving away. Returned to the dealer who said it was the oxygen sensor due to it having very little fuel in and having not been driven any distance for a while. he cleared the fault, added cleaner to the petrol and the light has not returned.

Would this be valid?

My guess it may come back on in a couple of days . For a decent oxygen sensor I.e denso they are around £80-£90 with the correct plug fitted , dealer should replace if comes on again if not, not a great deal to buy and change yourself. About the only problem you will have with a petrol Rav .
