Engine Strart Problem

Im a newbie when it comes to cars and i recently just bought a corolla, second hand, as my first car as i want to start driving. I noticed almost immidiately day after i bought it that it doesnt start cleanly, as compared to my friends car. ive uploaded a video of it to better illustrate what i mean, ive looked online and im thinking its faulty spark plugs or whatever that is (to my best diagostocs). The car runs fine when its finally started no problems just sometimes it seems it struggles to start. Thw video isnt the worst case ive noticed sometimes it struggles for almost 3/4 seconds before it finally picks up. Is it something to worry about? The owner assured me there was no problems with it, guess he wasnt 100% honest. Any advise would be appreciated thanks

Hi,

Sounds fine to me, I would  say its a count of 2 to get going, which seems normal.

Sounds like a  petrol 1.4 or 1.6  ?

Does the car have a service history book ?  - is it due one ?

Fairly simple if you want to do it yourself  - if thats your thing ?

A Haynes Corolla service book is a great buy for the beginer or experienced diyer.

Plugs, engine oil and filter, air filter  pollen filter, gearbox oil .  No petrol filter. ( in tank for life)

Any of those could just take the edge off the startup as could a slightly weak Battery, have you measured its voltage when cold and when running ?
