HELP! Fuel smell in cabin

Hi folks,

New member/ owner here. My Gen 7 smells of fuel in the cabin. Though I can only seem to reproduce it when I'm sat in traffic with the climate control on. I lift the bonnet and can't smell anything there, or around the car. And no visible leaks any where I can see (without a ramp).

Firstly, anyone know of a problem that may cause this?

Secondly can anyone point me to some images for the fuel system and climate system so I can try to trace where it all goes?

Many thanks.

Does the smell go when you put the recirculator fan on?

My Dad had a Freelander years ago and one day the car stank of diesel. Thinking it was something outside, I knocked on the recirculator so it stopped taking air in from the outside. It wasn't until we parked up we saw a puddle of diesel under the car.

Transpired the pipes for the air con ran on top of two fuel lines, and the bolts over time chaffed the rubber lines until they both had holes in.

It can be from the fuel tank look at the top where the float housing is accessed from inside car.

Is CEL on?

Did you scan the car with OBDII?

What codes show up?

In older cars, the charcoal canister on top of the  fuel tank may be full or VCV stuck, release gas under the car.
