2003 Yaris Verso - change from 14" to 15" wheels

I have just bought an old 2003 Yaris Verso with just 77.000 km (ca 47.800 miles) on the meter and two previous owners. The car has 175/65 R14 tires on 14" wheels now, but I want to change to 15" wheels. Do you think 185/55 R15 will fit?

I have already bought the alu 15" wheels. The last owner had them on a 2014 Yaris and the (winter)tires today is 175/65 R15. Are these tires to "big" to fit my 2003 Yaris Verso?

Here is a picture of the car (dealer pics).

Using a tyre size calculator which includes speedometer error, the 185/55/R15 combination will result in a negligible speedometer under read of 0.29%. The 175/65/R15 tyres produce an under read of 4%.

Would recommend checking your country's legal requirements as regards speedometer accuracy.

In the EU, it is illegal for the speedometer to show less than the actual speed, and to show more than 110% of the actual speed. In the UK, we have slightly different legal requirements.
