Hi. My wife recently bought a very clean 2009 1.0 IQ which has only covered 25000 mls. It recently started to knock seemingly from the front nearside sounding maybe like a worn ball joint. The used car dealer said he couldn't find anything & replaced a drop link to no avail. Is there any common fault or recall with these? Thank you for allowing me in your group.

Hello Nigel - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

One can use the Toyota recall checker to check whether there are any outstanding recalls of voluntary service campaigns due on your vehicle - https://www.toyota.co.uk/caring-for-your-toyota/owners/recall-checker.json#/iframe/https%3A%2F%2Fforms.toyota.co.uk%2Frecall-checker%3F_ga%3D1.107976706.1292388348.1488026407

Otherwise, if the IQ was bought in the last six months, one can look at the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to get the supplying dealer to rectify faults -

This is regardless of any warranty issued by the dealer.
