auris 1.6d design real mpg help

Just bought auris 1.6d design at the momment i am getting on average 52 mpg on a mixture of town and dual carriageway 60mph driving is this good/bad or indifferent.

In this cooler weather it will be a couple of mpg down on summer results & short journeys where the engine never really reaches optimum operating temp will have a big effect.

One other thing to consider is what mileage the car has covered. If still a low mileage (ie less than 7,000) it may still need a few more miles before achieving its best mpg.
