I'm buying a 08 Avensis 2.0 auto and wondered if there are any forum members who have owned (or currently) own one? I'm not expecting fantastic mpg; probably around 30mpg av. however any reliability issues etc etc on the gearbox and engine? Any pro's and con's muchly appreciated.

Hi, my friend has the 2007 2.0l petrol T-Spirit auto. You are spot on regarding MPG, however car is very comfortable and drives well. The only problem he had so far is rough idle and engine cutting off at low speed. This is quite common and cured by cleaning the throttle body.
