Hi

New to the forum and need help in getting me estima registered here in uk

Aftrr sending in all the docs o have for the aeras DVLA are now asking what he build date is when clearly it's mentioned on the export certificate that it's a 2007 registered.

I'm sick of dvla sending back me my papers and have now asked for confirmation by an enthusiast toyota club.

Can anyone help me on this one it'll be highly appreciated.

I've got the vin platenumber if that'll help.

Welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

The build date and registration date are different. For example the car may have been first registered in 2007, but built in 2006.

There are VIN decoder websites where one can narrow down the build date to the specific year, and where in the build sequence of that year, the vehicle was ( for example 50th in a build sequence of 3,499; 6,716 in a sequence of 19,954; etc). Doubtful whether one can narrow down the exact build.

Eg https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Toyota/ESTIMA

You could also check the "label" at the very bottom of the seat belt (B pillar)...you will find a date there....

...or...get onto Toyodiy and enter your VIN..http://www.toyodiy.com/...go for "parts reference" and select your car....you will get a date.
