Oil in PCV Valve

Hi Guys

Im trying to investigate a loss of oil on my Toyota Avensis 1998. Ive noticed that in the last couple of weeks im losing maybe 200ml of engine oil a week. Theres no oil on the ground, doesnt appear to be any around the exhaust or am i getting excessive smoke. Ive done a google search as im a novice mechanic and one American article has pointed me to the PCV valve. The article mentions to test this, shake it and you should hear a rattle. I dont hear this rattle and i also did notice that there is oil dripping out from where the pcv valve was removed and in the immediate rubber pipe. Is this normal? can it be cleaned?, and where to buy a new one if not would be great suggestions . Thanks
