Auris HSD alarm with keyless entry

Can anyone help with this one please?  

I have a 2013 Auris HSD Excel with Keyless Entry which works perfectly except when I open the boot first. For example, if I go to the supermarket and lock the car by touching the driver's door handle and then return with my shopping and go straight to the boot and open it by lifting the handle the alarm will sound after a few seconds.  In other words the Keyless Entry allows me to open the car (with the key still in my pocket) but it does not seem to disable the alarm. To prevent this I have to firstly open the driver's door and then open the boot.
