Yaris French 5 Door 2002 rear drivers side light assembly

Hello,

I have a 2002 5 door French build Yaris 999cc.

I damaged the rear drivers side light unit and want to replace it in time for my MOT.  However all the units I can find on the internet seem to have the incorrect electrics connector plug.

Mine is a black oblong as per the attached photo, (next to the right hand white bulb holder) whereas all the ones I've found on t'web are white square connectors. Can anyone advise where I could find an appropriate unit.....if I can't replace it then the car will fail its MOT and I'll have to get rid of a perfectly good motor.

Could always try a Toyota dealer and get the correct part straight away

Assuming the mounting bolts and clips are in the right place and visually it's a match. 

 If it was me, I'd be buying one like this

with the plug supplied and soldering the wiring to suit. Or even making up an adaptor using the original socket from your light and the plug from the new light. This means the original wiring loom is unchanged. 

A riskier option might be to try and swap lenses over but I'm an electrical engineer not mechanical 😀
