Water Leak

I have just brought a Toyota Emina, and have experienced a few problems.
There was a minor leak and needed to top every 30 miles. Did this a few times then last night whilst driving round the M25 where there are no lights the car overheated with the engine management light on and engine oil level light on. Topped up and got only 10 miles further down the motorway and all the lights came back on again. There was a loud bang, but managed to limp the car home. This morning whilst topping up noticed the water was just pouring out under the passenger seat.
When I lifted the panel under the passenger seat noticed there is a pipe coming out a few inches with no hose attached and wondering if something is missing. See top left of photo.
I have attached photo
Is it the thermostat housing, water pump or gasket that is broken. If so where can I buy the parts and how much to get fixed.
