Tyre Pressure Warning Light

Warning light came  on so checked tires visually and seemed OK, using the Garage inflation machine showed that the left front  was down a couple of pounds, reflated all round to specs but the warning light is still on, do you have to do a reset of the system, if yes how do you do it without a visit to Mr T.

Thanks

The air pumps at garages, probably aren't the most accurate machines to check your tyre air pressures. Plus, if you've driven there, then the air in your tyres will have expanded and give a false reading. Best to invest in a tyre pressure gauge and foot pump, from somewhere like Halfords, and check tyre pressures outside your home when cold.

Isn't the reset button hidden beneath the steering column surround?

Found the reset button with the aid of a mirror its that far back and you need long arms, with the ignition on, hold the button down for 5 seconds it will flash 3 times and then go off, now fixed.

thanks for replies

For completion: must reset WITHOUT moving the vehicle after switching on, and must leave on and stationary for a few minutes after the reset, then after a few minutes, switch the car off, otherwise you can find the TPM illuminates when you start moving again.
