Conversely no mention of clutch issues in either.

Wonder whether there is a difference between the configurations for left hand drive versions and right hand drive.

I don't think there are differences between LHD and RHD. I suppose they come from the same factory with the same parts.

I wasn't implying there is a difference in parts, There could be a difference in how the switch from lhd to rhd is done, and operation of the clutch from a driver's perspective. For example the clutch in a LHD car is near to the wheelarch, etc, which may or may not affect how easy it is to operate.

For example on some PSA cars (eg Citroen C3 Picasso) rhd brake pedals are operated via a rod linkage from the left hand side - and this was discovered when front seat passengers found they could interfere with the linkage and apply the brakes.
