Checking if a car is taxed

says that my car is "Taxed and due", does that mean that the tax is paid for this month and is due at the end of this month?

It's a real pain not having a paper disc, as I am away from home and had not received a reminder before I left.  Typical unfriendly DVLA attitude.

Usually the site states the date for renewal - eg

✓ Taxed
Tax due:
01 August 2017

So with the above example, the tax is due to be renewed 1st August.

If renewing online, one can choose to have an e-mail reminder (usually approx one month beforehand) that the tax is due to be renewed.

Nope, just done it again and it says "Taxed and due".

Are you paying monthly by direct debit? if so it might be that it is taxed for this month but due next month.  If you are trying to check from overseas could you PM me your reg number and I could check it for you from the UK? no probs if you don't want to do that. Good luck with sorting it.

I ran the checks on the cars in my family and got the following:

Top of the page shows the CAR REG.

✓ Taxed

Tax due:
01 September 2017

✓ MOT

Expires:
06 March 2018

• Cylinder capacity (cc):1798 cc
• CO₂Emissions:155 g/km

• Export marker:No
• Vehicle status:Tax not due
• Vehicle colour:SILVER
• Vehicle type approval:M1

Check the vehicle status to confirm it is due or not.

Ah thanks everyone, I didn't notice the green boxes at the top because I tend to ignore anything that is not black text on white background, it says my tax is due 1 July 2017.
