Stop Start battery charging

Hi again.

I've noticed over the past day or two that my stop/start has stopped working. I pull up at a set of traffic lights, put in neutral, and come off the clutch. The car continues to run and I get a green light saying Battery charging. This may be normal but always best to check.

As a note though. When I first viewed the car, prior to purchase, only 3 weeks ago it had a flat Battery.

Any advice greatly appreciated

I wonder if the Battery voltage is too low?

The Start-Stop system has a bunch of params it has to meet before it kicks in; One is engine temp and another is probably level of Battery charge...

If the Battery was flat for a long time, it might be worth replacing it as car starter batteries don't like being dropped below 50% charge as it damages the lead plates.

Only had the car 27 days so might are a trip back to the dealer to get them to check it.

I'd done 17 miles in it, so it was upto running temperature. Might get them to check the Battery, as they said that they had fully charged it. Possibly a dodgy Battery???
