driver door water leak

Hi, I have an old style auris hybrid. the drivers door has a rusty hinge. There is obvious water on the hinge after heavy rain. I think water is entering the door somewhere. Any ideas? is this a common fault?

I've noticed this on mine. The top hinge on drivers door. I've loosened bolts one at a time greased and retightened in an attempt to keep it at bay. Also sprayed with white grease. 

Don't think it's a failed seal, just happens.

Old trick for identifying water leaks through doors . Sprinkle the seal with talcum powder (or French chalk if you're posh), and spray with a hose. You'll soon find the point of ingress.
