Auris Sr same engine as Corolla Sr?

Anyone know if the 2007-2013 Auris 1.6 VVT-i SR engine is the same as the 2002-2006 Corolla VVT-i SR engine? Was wanting to put a short ram air intake onto my Auris but they only make them for the Corolla so was wondering if it would fit.

The Corolla used a different engine - the ZZ series (3ZZ-FE) in the Corolla as opposed to the ZR series in the Auris (1ZR-FE and then the 1ZR-FAE from late 2008).

Can I add that some sellers are or have confusingly advertised the earlier 124 bhp VVT-i, 5 speed, with the later 132 bhp Valvematic engine, 6 speed, calling the earlier engine Valvematic. The obvious clue is the gearbox and the engine cover (if not swapped) and the VED emissions which is higher in the VVT-i (166 g/km) to Vmatic 153 g/km, so higher VED fee. It's a matter to look for the details described, doing your home work before parting with the cash, and being disappointed.
As Frosty as stated above, the ZR engine is not related to the 3ZZ engine as the bore and stroke are totally different - 80.5 x 78.5 mm (ZR), 79 x 81.5 mm (3ZZ).
