So just recently bought a imported ST182 & its time for a timing belt change.

Really struggling to find an timing belt for it, was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?

Additionally could I just use a GT4 Belt from same gen?

Thanks in advance, Rick.

I did a quick search using various sites:-

I covered both part numbers and they both seem to show the same Gates part 5194XS (3SGE - double overhead cam, but I notice there is another belt 5202XS (3SFE single overhead cam). Check your engine model and also on the Japan-parts site, do a VIN search to confirm your actual car - so long as it has not been modified! I also use ToyoDIY.

I don't own a Celica - only helping you in the right direction, hopefully.

I haven't tried the technique personally, but the guy on Car SOS cuts half the existing belt off (along all it's length), then fits the new belt to the 'missing half', then cuts the rest of the old one off and pushes the new one 'home', thus retaining the original timing.  I don't see why it wouldn't work, but the tensioner would almost definitely  need to be slackened.
