Does anybody have any experience lowering the CTS or putting wheel spacers on?

What brand would you go for with the lowering springs and wheel spacers? I'm leaning towards Eibach or Vogtland for the springs, but don't know too much on the wheel spacers. Any ideas on the ideal width for stock alloys and either of the lowering springs mentioned?

Can't comment on spacers but have Eibach springs fitted and I can't fault them, lowers the car 30mm.

I am wanting to do the same thing i found some 40mm apex on eBay, not sure if that would  be to much tho.
