New bumper fogs drl wiring

Got some fogs with drl unsure whether to have them all run off the fog switch or wire the drl separately 

Also wondering what to use for grills is just a bit of wire mesh OK or will that bend at speed? Do I need better mesh than a flimsy artists mesh

Wire the drl separately, you can buy cheap looms now adays for around £10 so that drl are only one when ignition is or could go with the cheap switch option to manually turn them on. No point fitting drls if you only use them when the fogs are on
