Kinetic DAA 7001 for Dab on Avensis?

Has any body fitted a Kinetic DAA 7001Dab/FM splitter to an older Avensis, (mine is a 2000 year 1.8 Hatchback)...and more importantly, with success....I am having a nightmare with mine. It has been fitted correctly but reception is terrible when driving, even here in Liverpool. let alone in areas of poor reception The head Unit is a Pioneer MVH-X580DAB which I bought due to its reported excellent DAB reception qualities

No matter, I bought a windscreen one from Halfords and it works great.....sent the Kinetic back to Dab On Wheels, it was rubbish.
