The engine is switched off,  but the dashboard shows the rev needle at 1000rpm (idle), has my engine locked ?

Car doesn't start at all. Any ideas ?

Re your earlier post - have you checked and proved all the fuses are ok ?   - the fuse boxes in the engine bay and behind the glove box by the pollen filter.

Hi, thanks for the response. Yes, I've checked behind compartment box all the small fuses seem to be OK.

However, the fuse box in engine bay had one fuse that was blown (small blue fuse with number 15 on it), which I replaced with the spare.

The rev meter, fuel gauge are back to normal but the radio, etc are still not working.

It is probably due to one of the bigger fuses that I suspect are blown but I don't know which one to check.

The radio, the clock, AC are not working. Any ideas ?

Ps. I've got the manual book but the layout is different on my car compared to the book.

All the fuses you mentioned are fine. 15a Dome is the one I changed earlier and as a result the rev meter went back to normal.

Any other ideas ?

Wiper Blades, window electrics, clock, AC, radio ... All of these are just dead.

Cannot list a specific fuse, but if you go to this link and select your Year you can download the owners manual , hopefully the right one for your model, which shows the fuse locations and importantly what devices they power.  ( yours is a UK model ?)

Hopefully you can work though that and find what gone.

I would suspect its more a fuse to a control unit thats stopping those functions rather then their power fuses gone.

Don't rely on just a visual inspection of the fuse, test them with a ohm /multimeter or even a Battery and bulb/led etc
