ok, would just like to verify, do the SR's come standard with TTE Springs, and are these SR TTE springs -30mm lower than a standard yaris. i know the T-Sport has its own springs which are -20mm than standard yaris, but i didnt think the SR was lower than the T-Sport as standard??

and if anyone can tell me if these springs will fit a standard yaris and if theres anythin i should be advised when purchasing second hand Springs??

cheers

Danny

I have no idea mate and i own a SR!

What i do know and am fairly sure of is that the SR springs are lower than the standard Yaris ones, but not sure if they are lower or the same as the TS ones.

I had a look at at TS the other day and the tyre to wheel arch clearance seemed similar to the clearance on mine. But that of course was just my visual comparision.

Hopefully someone here knows the answer .. cos i for one would definately like to know for sure.

well ive been offered some TTE springs from an SR yaris, but i just want to verify that it will drop my car by 30mm, as im confused as to why the SR would have tte springs which are lower than the T-Sport ones? Anyone help me??

Nizan: Thanks anyway, but im after a 30mm drop with the tte springs

Hello mate

Well i remember speaking to dan about this aka yaristpot. And when he first got his t sport he nicked some SR springs off of a car and put it onto his t sport. Well it made it sit lower but the handling was all screwed up so he had to change it back to the normal one. Perhaps pm yaristpot and you can confirm this with him  And i really dont know why Toyota made the SR lower than the t sport. Thats really weird

and they gave the SR a better back box  :cacker:

Danny: no worries mate

Well if its any consolation, they stopped doing it the year i got mine ... so i'm just stuck with a chrome tailpipe! :arrgg-matey:  :cacker:

And i thought i was gonna get the fat TTE backbox too! :crybaby:

when i bought mine, from reading the brochure at that time nov/dec 2000 for a march 2001 deliv - it said it had the tt springs lowered to 30mm, tte spoiler, tte exhaust, 15" 10 spoke wheels over the standard cdx model (minus the sunroof and 2 extra doors)

whether it is truely a 30mm drop i do not know ?

Hey guys, the SR is def a 30mm drop over the standard Yaris. I have the SR and my mum has a standard 1.0L, put a measuring stick side by side and sure enough, im 30mm lower. As for the t-sport, cant help with that one im afraid.

toyota are hopeless at suspension, truly hopeless!

even the 'sport' versions of the yaris and corolla sit about 20-30mm too high

I wouldn't bother with the SR suspension after what jerry said, if it messes up your car then why bother :)
