Ice/headunit Question

I've got a panasonic headunit that has 4 normal channels, 2 sets of pre outs and a sub-out. What i need to know is if i hook up an amp to the preouts, will the normal speaker wires still work?

What i want to do is feed the 4 standard Speakers with the wires off the headunit and use the pre outs to run an amp and 2 x 7x10's

will it work?

Yes and yes! :) Best way to do IMO unless your trying to drive front Speakers that need lots of juice.

Same setup as I've got except my amp is using the sub pre-out of the headunit to drive 2 10's.
