Tyres?

I was wondering what tyres everyone was running and how they rated as i need to replace them soon!!

i run the standard yokohama's that are on the SR, but find that that they are not very good in the wet(i have found this common complaint across Yaris owners on the forum)

Cheers!

Aye...the Bridgstone Potenza's The front wear pretty quick around 12k ... the rears seem to last forever...but they are great all rounders and give great traction.

Check this site out.

It gives you a rating for your specified tyre, click on the Test Results, and they deliver!

Bridgestone Potenza RE 040 are the best tyres I have had on a car, and have a ‘V’ speed rating, standard on the Yaris as you know.

Toyo Proxes T1-S...

BTW... On the test results they are all terrible in the snow!!!

Yeh. I can recommend www.mytyres.co.uk too. Used them for my last car. Saved loads of money and the tyres were excellent - can't remember what they were now, but just check the ratings.

I'll definitely be getting some from their when my current tyres have worn down a bit. I've got Dunlop's on the front and Pirelli on the back (not sure what ones - came with the car), and I spin quite a bit in the wet. Especially uphill.

Fitted Michelin to the front of my T Sport last month... got to be the best for grip and wear!

They are a bit pricey, but if you get plenty of life out of them then they must be worth it. Got the usual Bridgestones on the rear, still got 5mm on them.

I do 1500 miles every month!

I just purchased a set of Firestone's new high performance flagship tyres.

The Firehawk-SZ80's. Size: 195/50/15.

The predecessor to the FH-SZ80 model was the FH-SZ40 which received top marks and plenty of praise on www.tyretest.com. Hence my decision to buy them....

No regrets here! They are awesome! Endless amounts of grip in the wet and dry. x 2

I wouldn't be buying the Toyo Proxes T1-S unless you want to be changing tyres after a couple thoulsand hard driven miles.

Just my thoughts...(and others')

ive gone through a few sets of toyo proxes t1s and ive tried loads of other makes, the toyos last really well, way longer than the standard yokos which i only done 6,000 miles on. and in a 195/50/15 i get them for about £35 a corner all in wich is silly money for tyres that good. its a very common size-escort rst's etc thats why theyre cheap.

I can get tyres at good prices to, if anyone needs a quote drop me an email to kevin@envyperformance.com

I have been in a yaris with the Toyo T1'S and the Godyear eagle F1 GSD3's and both handled fatasticaly. I think the Goodyears are a shade better in the dry and the T1's are maybe better in the wet.

I currently have Conti-sports on mine and they are OK but INHO the above are better.

Thanks

Kevin
