hello ok i have an 2600watt amp that has 380rms

and i have seen a better looking one that has 600rms but its only 1600watt .

which one would be better? :thumbsup:

Always go by the RMS figures. The peak values are what the amp managed to output a split second before it exploded in the testing lab. They are just for show and don't mean anything in the real world.

We need to know what you are trying to drive with the amp and what the RMS figures are for those devices. :)

RMS = Root Mean Square...

This is the current the amp can sustain over constant use, and is a true indication of its power..

As has been said above PMPO is actually useless, and is just for muppets who like to quote HUGE numbers for crappy systems!

What make/model are both the amps? It's doesn't actually in your spec if the rms power is with 2 or 4 ohm load...

Quick Question on "Le Amp"

The RMS Value. You can power above this can't you? Just not loads.

I got a 1200W MAX with 300W RMS. So maybe 400W is still okay and dont explode. Hehe.

Also cause Im trying to find a 2 Channel Amp that does 350W-400W RMS across both channels!

Maybe Im looking for a mircale.
