also before you rely on the speedo then knock 10% off! belive me!

a few test figure for that i conducted.......

set the car at a constant speed using the speedo on the dash and maintain for at least 500 yards. then readings taken from Roadangel which is tracked by GPS and outputs speed every second. And a reading taken from Alpine Sat Navigation which also uses GPS, and the cars own speed pulse as input.

speedo @ 30mph

road angel @ 27mph

Alpine Sat Nav @ 27mph

speedo @ 60mph

road angel @ 56mph

Alpine Sat Nav @ 56mph

speedo @ 70mph

road angel @ 66mph

Alpine Sat Nav @ 66mph

speedo @ 100mph

road angel @ 95mph

Alpine Sat Nav @ 95mph

*fast as possible*

speedo @ just passed 120mph (no actual reading due to lack of numbers)

road angel @ 121mph

Alpine Sat Nav @ 121mph

therefore working on the previous figures i assume the speedo would have got up to 127mph ish and thats was thrashing it! in a t-sport!

also this was done on an old mining site/military training ground :P so dont kick off at me

the two GPS speedos were always perfectly synchronised and looking at the displays they were always working from the same amount of satellites up in the sky.

there is no such thing as an accurate speedo, never has been and never will be!

hehe I thought everyone knew this... this is why they -technically- cant persecute you for going a mile or two over the speed limit.... (though they try!)

I have never really pushed Yaz to her limit... dunno if I would want to...
