RRRRRRRRAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR

Was in a meeting yesterday that I got a lift to, and I get a text from my girlfriend saying for whatever reason she has the day free from work.. so she is going to visit her mum.. as its nice can she borrow my mr2.. I foolishly said yes, (act like water, always take the line of least resistance)

Anyway I get back and she comes back later looking mildly sheepish..

Turns out as she was driving along with the roof off.. some kids on a motorway bridge (think it was that bit on the M40 where there is a seperate pedestrian bit????) lobed a rock off onto the passing cars below :ffs: :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:

It hit the top of the windscreen on the drivers side, about 8" in from the A pillar, and 3" from the top, had it been dropped a fraction of a second later it would have hit her square in the face... she was doing 60 ish, if it hadn;t have killed her it would have surely knocked her out, and mad made her crash :censor: :ffs:

there is no real damage, a few scufs on the screen as it was a cleyish bit of rock and disitigrated on contact, just left a few little marks on a pebbledashed screen.. but thats not the point!!

Just thinkin about it has got me fuming... Little :censor: ers.. how I'd LOVE to get my hands on 'em :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:

Rant over.. sorry folks...

She was a bit shaken up!!! She wasn't sure whether to be fuming mad, or feel "lucky".

Sorry to hear that mate, at least she's okay.

You'd of thought the government would do something about it like with bridges over railways. You can't see the trains coming etc. if they put those big metal boards across Mway bridges too then kids wouldn't do it cos they wouldn't be able to see the results of their actions.

If i see little b4sts on bridges i always change lanes to avoid going directly below them and them doing anything. They need a good sh7t kicking

As do I mate... I also park right at the back of carparks, in selected spaces...

Funny how shes the one that gets the parking dings trolly marks etc etc, and its "not my fault"

Its sad that drivers have to take all these precautions...

Funyn at that meeting I was at we were in my dads car, sat outside in the sun, less then 3 foot from it.. some woman in a manky old mondeo diesel estate parks next to it and we SAW her open the door onto it...

It felt good to let out all the frustration on the one you finally catch doing it

Jesus mate! Glad your gf ok!!

We were discussing stuff like this at work today, and we decided a large part of the way kids act is the parents they have, so wouldnt it be easiest to castrate anyone who shouldnt have kids??

Glad your girlfriend is alright. I guess right now you've just got to consider how lucky she is to have got away unharmed.

It's not so long ago a bloke was killed by a stone (housebrick I think) dropped from a motorway bridge, the stone/brick smashed into his chest if I recall. Ever since then I've always been wary of driving under bridges with people looking over the barriers.
