Botched Body Repair.

We recently had my wifes car repaired at the local Toyota dealer after the neighbour reversed into the drivers side where the front wing and door meets. I wasn't happy with the repair the first time as the door wasn't aligned properly afterwards and you could easily see all the bolts and innards if you stood in front of it.Now thats fixed on the second attempt, but there's a bigger gap between bumper and wing than before now and some scratchmarks on the wing near the wheelarch as well as some yello/gold overspray on the bumper on the opposite side.Geez :arrgg-matey: What else can I do other than moaning at them again to get it fixed ?I don't like the idea of it going back to the garage they used to have the job done either :censor: .Here r som pics before they fixed it.I'll get some current ones up tomorrow.accident1

I think it must be main dealer repair shops... A good friend has had her car repaired by the "insurance preferred" body shop which happens to be <cough> Ford <cough> and they have eff'd things up really bad the first time i.e bumper parts not fitting propperly so holding them in place wioth self-tapping screws and paint runs.

The second time the car was collected there were paint and resin splatters on the bonnet (not needing repair or paint work doing originally), side strips between bumper and front wings not fitted propperly. Lost parts (and never replaced them) that were meant to be on the car's bumper, bubbles and swirls in paintwork and uneven finishes in the paint work on different parts of the bumper.

A job that was orinally quoted at taking 3 - 4 days has now been over a month and it's still not right

She has now requested that the insurance send out an indipendant assessor to inspect the car and will be insisting the car be completly re-done at a highly recommended body shop at either the insurance or Ford's expense.

:ffs: :ffs: :ffs:
