My Back Is Buggered

Today i went to see a back specialist and he told me that a joint in my lower back isnt moving , which means my disc is working 10x harder for my back. Last year i suffered an injury and was in incredible pain, the specialist said the disc had been injured because of this and became dehydrated because the other joint isnt working aswell its only accelerated the lower back problem. I asked if i didnt have the injury would it have still had pain he said what ever point in life it wouldve happened because of the non moving joint , he also said that if i dont get it sorted now my next injury may break my back.

So i have got to stretch and do special excercises to pull the joint up and get it working again plus to get my disc hydrated. I will have to join a yoga type class aswell to work on the lower back, so as from now if i have a serious accident my back will break.

Sorry to hear that, I've also suffered chronic lower back pain for years now. If you join a yoga club just remember the TV ad "Thats chiropractor C---H---I " :D

Ive been given stretches etc to do for my back as ever since having my little girl I have had problems. Its because she was so heavy, and I went two weeks overdue, it caused alot of strain on my back :(

i had spine surgery 8 months ago to free mine my lower spinal nerves from a eaten away disc , 3 years before that you cant imagine the pain i had .and the violent muscle spasms and cramps in my right leg .i'm on the mend now but still suffer and will for the rest of my natural , so my advice is do what they say or you will 1 day suffer BIG STYLE.

Sorry to hear that bud,

Nearly 2 years ago i got splatted off my scooter at a cross junction, a car pulled out right across me and just took me out, had pretty severe whiplash injuries, neck, back and shoulder...still have trouble now, and my neck is always cracking

I thought it was just me that was in pain, it is nice to know that i can talk to others here with generally the same types of problems. :D

Yup .. after an accident in 2000 and then an accident a few months back (both non fault, both stationary and rear ended) my back is in a bad way too ..

I was working it better, but then one night on the beers and sleeping on a sofa ruined all the good work .. :(

I'm supposed to get my "wife" to massage it better .. hmm, gotta find one then
