ive built a few minis.some stonking ones aswell, here is the last one i did, undergoing the engine instalation in my Workshop

1300cc lightened race engine

heres a short run down of the engine specs:

ok bored to 1300cc

Polished and ported Original John cooper head

jack Knight crankshaft

Original John Cooper high lift camshaft

Kent lightweight Timing Chain and Vernier pully

Lightweight backplate

Lightened billet flywheel

Straight cut transfer gears

AP racing 3 puck clutch

Mocal engine oil cooler

lots of cosmetic work aswell...painting and polishing

as for the rest of the car......

John cooper cast manifold

Bilstein coilovers.front and rear

converted rear beam, to accept coilovers

Yokahama tyres

minilite wheels

drilled Metro turbo discs, and calipers

braided steel brake lines

brake bias valve

roll cage

Willans harness;s

seam welded Shell

2 bucket seats,

Carbon fibre dash

Very very fast

the guy who i built it for, uses it for Hill climbing

Dont know if you know Paul Carman quite well know in the mini scene was the manager at avonbar then setup minispeed he now runs minipower.

In 1994 won the coveted title of ?FASTEST MINI IN THE WORLD? he still has it and its a beauty

My fav is the GT flat faced mini I love them but have been told I can have one while I have the charger
