The book "Cannonball - World's Greatest Outlaw Road Race" by Brock Yates (who came up with the whole caper) is a great read. Did you know that the correct name for the Cannonball Run is "The Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash"... ? Did you care?...

Blue Thunder was on BBC1 with Chaine and Jaffo as pilots. It was a police chopper with a big gun on the front. (looked like an apache 64)
