Debadging

You might think debadging is 'to give your car a smoother look'..

well, that might be your excuse, but lets not forget where it comes from..

1984, BMW offer a special 'option' on their 3 series which is the removal of the model Badge - so 316 drivers can pretend to have a 325

and the practice continues amongst the german manufacturers today, and you guys replicate it... for entirely different reasons though im sure  ;)

I de-badged my Celi for 2 reasons..............

1. for the smoothness and the lines :)

2. Because no one knows what she is. eg GT4  lol., GT-R or a GTi gets peeps guessing

Stealth mode best way to be.

Reason 2 means your no better than the BMW 318 owners who debadge the model numbers ;)

reason 1 is valid

yeah but anyone with a brain can tell that a 316/18 is what it is even when debadged as a 323-8 has a twin exhaust

ahhh...

IMHO reason 2 is just Max Muppet! :P (cos people rarely debadge the top model - so debaged suggest lower model pretending)

Nah! you can easily tell on BMWs and Mercs by the exhaust style... I know where you're coming from though ;)

This is the same reason that repmobiles tend to have their spec noted on the sides rather than the bootlid. It's all :censor: related!

Don't see the point myself, but each to their own...

Cheers,

Alan

I dont need to pretend my car is something its not and neither do you Asha...

At the end of the day, your driving a very nice car regardless of the model ;)
