What Happened At 3pm Today

Something strange seemed to be happening between 3-4pm today.

It took several attempts to get on the site and when I did it showed 23 members and about 40 guests were on the site.

I couldn't get in to General Discussions and some other forums.

Anybody else notice anything?

happened to me , pages took forever to open if they did at all

I had same problem... pages took ages to load but is all ok now.

googlebot is never off here, or the LOC sites.

In fact - if it ever went away, then ev eryone would notice it speed up a bit!

you can tell the google bot to do things, cant quite remember how, you make a file and can put some different settings in it

true - you can use a robots.txt file to instruct 'bots to not spider certain diretories etc.

Thing is - we want google to spider the forums, as this is where we get a lot of traffic from - so we don;t want to stop googlebot at all.
