Fireworks

It must be my age but every year I dislike bonfire night more and more and the dreaded fireworks.

Tonight I saw a gang of youths throwing fireworks in the street and in front of approaching cars and one had put a firework into a letterbox which had smoke coming out of the letter entrance :censor:

Plus I feel sorry for any animals, birds dogs etc

I don’t mind organised events on or around bonfire night but keep them off the streets :ffs:

Rant over.

i used to to firework diplays as a hobby and fireworks are dangerous we all wore full army gear thick as u like jackets suede clothes full face helmets all radiod up with throat mics so we knew exactly what was goin on and no one ever got injured as we took precautios just wait for one of these little :censor: to get there hand blown off then public panic will spread as little jonny will lie his teeth off and say he wasnt trying to insert it into a sheep but he lit it and it went off instantly or some crap like that. then panic wil spread and everyon who respects and enjoys fireworks will get deprived just like everything else in this over protective (as they assume we all fine teletubbies interletually challeneging and thereforee cant think for ourselves)society we live in. as they will get banned from public use.

lmao nice rant.

Seriously, I know what you mean my dogs hate them and it makes my blood boil when my dogs are hiding under the table shaking uncontrollably because some di**head thinks it's cool to set off a couple of airbombs outside the house.

Good mind to let them out on them see how they like 1000psi around each ankle.

Fair enough on bonfire night or at least a couple of days either side I can get tranquilisers from the vet but not up to a month before.

That's my rant.

Yeah I get all my pillar boxes sealed up soon - last year we left the one INSIDE a Tesco store unsealed and it got burnt out - WTF.

dont get me started on those !Removed! things.every night at the back of my place you have gangs of youths setting them off from about six to half one maybe two in the morning.and to make matters worse they are illeagl over here, yet everyone knows the shops that sell them, but do the law do any thing about them, the shops and the little %$(ers setting them off..........nah that might mean actually haveing to fill in some paper work or some thing.yet like lord_ed said it'll take a few blown off hands before anything is done about it.like i said earlier it's every single night up here not just once a year or whatever and i for one am sick of the !Removed! noise let alone the poor dog's.
