Import tax is 2% for car parts from the USA, then you've got 17.5% VAT on top of all that.

If the senders nice he/she will put a reduced value on the customs form and you won't have to pay as much! (Who said that! Not me!!)

Just now got a kit sent over from the US. cost $ 324.99 to buy and just got a bill

from Customs for £114.41. :!Removed!:

the total cost of the kit + shipping was $1,023.99

It breaks down like this..

Customs Duties... ( Air Imports )... £13.65

Customs VAT.......( ********* )....£88.26

Deferment Fee..............................£12.50

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how it works out, but a bit back I ordered the clear fronts and sides for my supra, as nobody supplies them over here...

they endud up being a bit over £60... when the delivery arived I had to pay another £30 FED EX!!!! :ffs:

as a 'worst case scenario' i add 25% to the final fee (including shipping) and then work with that on what i have to pay

wroking deals and *carf labelling with a lower value always then comes across as a bonus

you really have to work with your conterpart in the states and see if theyll help you out

ah good thinking

labelled as '2nd hand car parts' also with them removed from original packaging and a sight dusting of oil on them if customs decide to have a looksie
