Bus Lanes?

Just had some bus lanes introduced near me, this road sign is up but underneath it says

Sat – Mon

7.00am – 7.00pm

Am I right in thinking you can drive in the bus lanes outside these times ie after 7.00 in the evening and all day Sunday?

I couldn’t find anything in the Highway Code.

I'm sure that those times are the times the bus/cycle lane are in operation and you have to stay out of it during those times, after those times you can use it.

To be honest I would just steer clear of it at all times. The times may just be a guidence to what times it is being used the most.

Hmm.. I may be wrong:

- Bus and tram lanes. These are shown by road markings and signs. You MUST NOT drive or stop in a tram lane or in a bus lane during its period of operation unless the signs indicate you may do so.

Hmmm i wonder if you took youre tyres off and had a big Dukes of Hazzard ariel could you pass as a tram and use their lanes? :D
