I love moving house because it is a great opportunity to get rid of all that cr*p you hoard over time. Think I will be moving again in about 2 years as the house is starting to get full again.

Just need to finish the new kitchen, bathroom, finish decorating the dining room, finish rebuilding the utility room, repair the driveway and put that new roof on the garage I got a quote for recently. Hence 2 years time!

Why do we take on so much. It's ok I know the answer, it's the profit I keep making on each move. :)

You should try talking to one of my mates at work... The whole deal was all set up and then today his mortgage provider said that they weren't actually going to lend him the money he needs...

Insurance companies and banks :ffs:

I hate the programs, always going on to the grilfriend how you can do your house up, make it "perfect" to move out of into a **** hole again......WHY???

Just buy the house where you want it then do it up and live in it for the next 25 years, save yourself £5000 estate agent fees and alot of stress every couple of years.

lets face it property market will crash soon, all those that took a deep breath and told the bank they earned £10K more a year than they do will be shafted and then i can buy their house at a knock down rate.

I was lucky to get on the ladder before the boom some time ago so i've got 50% equity in the current house. Even if they go down 20% over the next 2 years, still got 30% profit. And prices are still rising in my area for three bed detached houses due to demand. Prices won't crash they will just slow down, houses at the top of the market might suffer but not your average family home.

I agree though, guy in work was being all smarmy in work because he got a mortgage 5x his salary through a "mate". Just bought his house but he is going to struggle with the re-payments and if prices drop at all he will be in negative equity and deep doo doo.

Only doing the work that will maximise the potential of the current house then move on to my next investment. After that maybe I will settle for a while.

It works if your careful.
